“The Party’s Dying Down”

This painting was made in October, 2024. The painting is part of my “Crimson World” series. The crimson world is a made up place with creatures. Everything is red and yellow.
I also used this painting as the album cover for “CRIMSON WORLD” the album. This album is eerie, dark sounding music. I try to make songs that match the vibe of the album cover. There are 11 songs, bringing the running time to 30 minutes.
“CRIMSON WORLD” The Album
This painting took about a month to make. I started with the red and black background by using scotch tape to get straight lines. I added shading to the background then created the forms of all the objects and creatures. The details for those came next, following with any extra added details to the background. I always cover my paintings with a shiny varnish at the end. I love this painting and hope to make more like it. The music for the album is different. It reminds me of some video game songs I’vs heard when your in an evil lair.
